- 01Review of signals, systems & transforms; 2D signals & systems, 2D DFT and its computation
- 02Image perception – the human vision system, psycho-visual experiments, monochrome vision model, temporal properties
- 03Image compression – the discrete cosine transforms (DCT), properties, computation, practical compression algorithm
- 04Image Enhancement: Point operations – Histogram modification, Histogram equalization; Spatial filtering: linear filters & the median filter
- 05Edge Detection, Hough transform – detection of straight lines and curves in images; Invariant descriptors: Fourier Descriptor, Moment-based invariants
- 06Morphological Image Processing techniques, Thresholding, Connected Component Labeling
